Through one of my projects i got to know the current owner of the shown project who asked me to source, develop, plan and build the project you see here. It took me almost 3 years from sourcing, which was very hard, as only certain very good locations within Vienna were suitable, to finalising the project. It did this project from beginning to end as a "one man show". I first drove around writing down all good locations which I thought had potential. I contacted the property owners by phone and asked them to buy parts of their property, which worked out perfectly in case of an old village. Using every option of the building code I was able to add another floor. I was able to plan and build a loft over three floors - first floor entrance, bath room, storage room, fitness room with sauna, laundry room, guest room and a huge living room. Standing in the living room you can look up to the kitchen - dining - working area on the second and sleeping - bathing area on the third level - 17.7 meters. We installed a Siemens Instabus System with over 20.000 meter of cables. I enjoyed realising this project a lot.

I developed the shown project for HPO, Yap Island's Historical Preservation Office. The location for the museum is in Colonia, Yap's capital. I tried to create a contemporary "skin" for the display of the Island's history. The museum displays Yap, stone platforms, ancient outrigger canoes, air and sea inspired my design. Unfortunately the project ended with it's animation. Today 2 local men's houses are situated on the lot and function as an area for dances and cultural display.

The plan was to build a beach resort somewhere on Yap Island, in a suitable location to run a dive operation, meaning water deep enough at the shore to run boats. I first looked into Rumung, which has beautiful beaches and after some time I found a nice piece of land. The owner was willing to give us the land - in the process we found out that building and running a resort in Rumung (no roads, no bridge, no electricity, fresh water system) was too expensive. Back at the start I found after some time a nice piece of land in Yyin and after I had presented the project, land owner and village agreed. Unfortunatly the investor wasn't as good as we thought. I did some residential projects for Yap Cooperative Association, 2 house types for a beautiful piece of land in Colonia on a hill overlooking Chamorro Bay. I helped building and market some other houses right there and the Conference Center at Small Business Center.

I planned this family house for a couple in Guror (southern part of Yap). It was rather complicated to get a loan for the project, as the house didn't look like the average local house, which basically is a square with a roof. The funding sources were scared the building would be far to expensive. Finally the couple got the money, but the construction had to be done in concrete instead of steel - concrete as originally proposed.
